Consulting and Mentoring
CF Okanagan Similkameen's consulting/mentoring program is available to loan, self employment clients, and the general public. Often small business owners find ourselves in the position of needing some guidance in the areas of marketing, finance or just day-to-day operations. We need to have access to someone that we can bounce ideas off without fear of rejection or being laughed at. For most of us, the cost of hiring a Management Consultant is prohibitive.
CFOS's program has a roster of semi-retired individuals who have worked in their own businesses who are willing to offer assistance or coaching to the small business community. These individuals may have specific areas of expertise (e.g. manufacturing, finance/loans, marketing etc.). Alternatively, they could just come in and do a basic business overview to offer suggestions/recommendations for improving sales, reducing expenses and increasing profits.
The success of this program stems from the personalized mentoring provided by the one-on-one and on-site consulting. As we all know, guidance and direction during a business' life cycle is critical to its success. During these sessions, the real issues can be dealt with before they become a problem.
